I recently stayed at The Aston Tavern for a taekwondo competition. The room was stunning with a traditional, eclectic aesthetic and incredibly comfortable beds. The bathroom was gorgeous, complete with a great shower and complimentary Clarins products. The breakfast had a lot of choice and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay at this hidden gem again!

During my New Year's stay, I liked the fact that the hotel had amazing food and that the staff were very accommodating. Despite the location being a bit out of the way, it was easily accessible by public transport which was very convenient.

The hotel's proximity to a busy road meant that it was quite noisy which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. the decor was a bit dated and could do with some modernisation to improve the overall atmosphere.

The bedrooms were comfortable and quirky, with a good shower. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great too.

The front of house was not the most welcoming.

Excellent breakfast options including full English, vegetarian, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt. Attentive staff and beautifully furnished rooms with luxurious touches like Clarins toiletries and Hugo Boss towels. Convenient location for Aston Villa FC. Will definitely return when in the area.

This hotel is a hidden gem with a vibrant beer garden and bustling outside bar. The location is perfect for all the activities we had planned, and the price for the four of us was unbeatable. The rooms are tastefully decorated with lovely furnishings and unique touches like a cabinet with crockery and tea tray. The service is exceptional, and the breakfast is generous and delicious. The spacious and well-equipped bathroom was a pleasant surprise.

The noise from the nearby road can be a bit bothersome at times.

I recently stayed at Aston Tavern for the Commonwealth Games and it was the best hotel experience ever. The staff was unbelievably helpful and kind, going above and beyond. The comfortable rooms had brand-new bathrooms and characterful decor. The facilities were fantastic, with little extra touches that made a difference. The breakfast was heroic and the location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk from Villa Park with parking available. If I ever return to Birmingham, Aston Tavern will be my only choice.
