We had a unique and enjoyable experience staying on the barge in the heart of the village. The accommodation was clean, roomy, and had lovely views. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite was surprisingly spacious. We loved the convenience of having excellent cafes and pubs right on our doorstep. The check-in and check-out process was easy and hassle-free.

I had a fantastic stay on the Barge in Tarbert. The location was excellent, right in the center of town by the harbour. The views from my cabin were stunning, overlooking the beautiful harbour. The decor was stylish and the room was perfectly clean. I particularly enjoyed the quirky and fun atmosphere of the Barge. It was a unique experience that I would highly recommend. a great stay!

Booked as a surprise for family and wanted something a little different from a normal hotel stay. The outside of the boat does not represent the interior. The rooms were beautiful and well equipped. They were very clean and beds really comfy. You can tell it was decorated to high a standard when furnished but like anywhere maybe needed a few points repainted but in no way detracted from the look of the rooms. I loved being able to look out over the water seeing the harbour/marina lights while lying in bed. One room was spacious with a lovely sitting area the other was at the back end of the boat and although had no sitting area and slightly smaller was just as nicely decorated with stairs leading down into the room as you stepped through the door. The location was excellent with restaurants and a few bars within a few mins walk. All in all the 4 adults had a wonderful overnight filled with special memories.

The location was excellent, right in the heart of town. The room looked just like the photos online, which was a huge relief. Plus, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the bedlinen was top-notch.

There were a few issues with our stay. The smell from the bathroom was quite off-putting, and it seemed like there was a problem with the shower drainage.

The view from our room was absolutely stunning, especially at night when the bay was all lit up. The room itself was stylish, clean, and had a quirky charm to it. We loved sitting at the window, watching the harbor activity. Despite a few signs of wear and tear, we found the room to be very nice with great views across the harbor. The location of the Barge was perfect, with easy access to local restaurants, pubs, and shops. we had a unique and fun experience during our stay.

Drawbacks: We did encounter some minor issues during our stay, such as a broken shower fixing and the need for better instructions on how to work the A/C and heating/cooling mechanisms. Additionally, we had some trouble with the check-in process and accessing the WiFi.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, right on the loch with beautiful views. It was a magical experience to stay on a barge that rises and falls with the tide. the peace and quiet of the setting made it feel like we were out at sea, yet we were just minutes away from shops and restaurants.

There were some shortcomings during our stay. The barge itself looked quite tired from the outside and the damp smell in the room was overwhelming.

The value for money at the Barge was fantastic, we got a beautifully decorated room with stunning views over the water. The location was perfect with plenty of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. The staff were friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The only thing that could improve the breakfast selection is adding some milk for the tea and coffee.

Xmas at this hotel was a unique experience. The location was fantastic, right by the harbor with amazing views. The design of the apartment was also a highlight, with a cozy and charming atmosphere. the concept of staying on a barge added a touch of adventure to our holiday.

To our stay. there was confusion during the check-in process as there were no staff on site and the instructions were not clear.

Great concept, large room with everything you need, nice outlook, numerous towels and fresh bedding, excellent heating. Spacious rooms, well-equipped, beautiful and clean, beds are really comfortable. Nice view of the harbor/marina lights from the bed. Excellent location with restaurants and bars nearby. Easy check-in and check-out process.

we had a unique experience staying on the barge in the center of tarbert. the room was spacious and had a comfortable bed. the view from the window was amazing, with swans and seagulls coming up close. we even had a bird pecking at the window, which was delightful. the wifi connection was easy to use, and the location was convenient with free parking nearby.

The location of the Barge was absolutely remarkable, right on the waterfront with stunning views of the water. It was so peaceful and relaxing to sit at the window at night and watch the tides rise and fall. The uniqueness of staying on a barge added an extra special touch to our experience.

When we arrived, there was no one there to greet us, which was a bit disconcerting. We had to call a number and even though they eventually called us back, it would have been better if they had sent an email beforehand with all the necessary details.
