our stay in plymouth was fantastic, but the viewing northern lights at barley house was truly breathtaking. the host was pleasant, the bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean and spacious. we felt right at home.

Wardrobe had clothes, slightly odd.

Lovely welcoming place to stay, with a charming vibe. The host was super helpful and let us check in early, which was great since we needed to sleep during the day. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We slept really well in the quiet house. The ensuite shower room was a nice bonus and the TV was a good size. The house was conveniently located, not too far from the University and a short walk to the city center.

A few drawbacks were that there were no on-site dining facilities for dinner or breakfast, so we had to find our own meals. Parking was a bit of a hassle, with limited spaces available and having to move the car to avoid fines.

Great location, close to the main attractions and easy to walk to. the room had all the necessary facilities and even had a 50-inch TV with a large selection of DVDs, perfect for movie lovers. the host was very friendly and accommodating, providing helpful local information and even assisting with a phone issue.

Parking was not available as advertised, but the host was helpful in finding alternative options nearby. It would have been nice to have some extra milk for the tea, especially for early risers.

The only downside is the lack of on-site parking, but there is free roadside parking available during certain hours.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the town center. It was really convenient for exploring the area and accessing nearby amenities. Additionally, the room was cozy and had all the necessary facilities, including a kettle for making tea. It was a nice touch that they provided bottled water as well. The shower was also great once I figured out how to use it, and the towels provided were large and comfy.

The exterior of the building could use some improvement. The net curtains were torn and shabby, and the windows were quite dirty.

the owner, Chris, was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to assist me. He even offered to help me find a place to get dinner without having to move my car and lose my parking space. the location was perfect, not far from the university and close to all amenities. the house had a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and my room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. I had a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed, and the ensuite shower room was a nice touch. the Barley House is definitely at the top of my list for accommodations in the Plymouth area.

stayed at a few places in plymouth, but the barley house was a standout! chris went above and beyond, even let us check in early so we could rest before work. loved the cozy vibe and spotless room. bed was so comfy, slept like a dream. definitely my top pick in plymouth!

Old towels, not very clean.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed. The owner was very friendly and upgraded us to a newly refurbished house nearby. The location was great, as it was only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the city centre, which we preferred to avoid the noise. we were extremely satisfied and would definitely return.

Everything is what we need and want.

The hotel was clean and had good facilities, making my stay comfortable. I loved the fact that it was located in a quiet area, yet very close to the city centre. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Furthermore, parking was convenient, which was a great advantage in this city.

The Barley House exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully furnished, clean, and comfortable. We were even upgraded to a different house nearby, owned by the same friendly owner. The location was perfect for us, with just a short walk to the city center but away from the noise. The DVD collection was a nice touch, and the bathroom extension was convenient.

Felt warmly welcomed, no complaints whatsoever.
