The value we got for our money was exceptional, with a spacious and newly refurbished room, complete with a super comfortable king size bed. The location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful countryside and charming villages. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, making us feel right at home. We also loved the variety of places to relax, whether it was in the bar, lovely conservatory, spacious garden. Plus, the bar prices were reasonable and not inflated like some hotels. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast that fueled us up for the day ahead. We are already planning our next visit to The Black Bull.

Tasty full English breakfast. Welcoming and friendly staff. Upgraded to fabulous family room. Great conservatory seating area and well-kept garden.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel and I couldn't be happier with my experience. the location is absolutely wonderful. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area, perfect for exploring the nearby garden and Housteads Roman Fort at Hadrian's Wall. Furthermore, the staff at this hotel were simply amazing. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed during my stay. Additionally, the breakfast provided was outstanding. The delicious fresh pastries and quality ingredients made it a truly delightful start to the day. Oh, and did I mention that breakfast was included in the price? That's definitely a plus!

Spent Christmas here and was pleasantly surprised. the room was cozy and had all necessary amenities. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices and the staff was extremely friendly. the location was ideal, close to a lot of nice places to visit. We enjoyed exploring the area and discovering new things. Another advantage was the comfortable bed, made Christmas morning all the more special.

Noise outside at night was disturbing, but since it was not the hotel's fault, we can't really blame them for it. All in all, a very unique Christmas experience.
