The friendly atmosphere and hardworking staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The modern and clean room with its comfortable beds and lovely bathroom were perfect. The well-stocked bar offered a great choice of ales, and the homemade evening meal was delicious and good value for money. The breakfast options were excellent, and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The fantastic location next to the castle made it a great choice for exploring or simply enjoying a cosy overnight stay. Thank you all for a great experience.

The location is ideal, right in the center of the village with car parking available right outside. Guests can enjoy watching the horses pass by on their way to training in the morning. The rooms are comfortable and recently refurbished, with one room offering a fantastic view of the market place. The pub serves a range of excellent beers and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful suggestions. The breakfast is cooked to order and delicious.

Parking on the main square can be tricky, especially on busy evenings.

We had a fantastic stay at the Black Bull Inn. The breakfast, including a delicious Full English, cereals, juice, and pastries. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had a good shower room. The owners, Sam and his wife, were extremely friendly and provided us with plenty of information for our dog walks. The staff was excellent, the food was good, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was very clean. The location was perfect for touring, and we were glad we stayed for a visit to the Forbidden Corner. The breakfast had plenty of options to choose from, and overall, it was a great experience. We just had a couple of small suggestions, such as fixing the bathroom wall and adding a socket for the kettle near the table. But apart from that, everything was great. Thank you!

Stayed one night for a visit to the forbidden corner and glad we did. Excellent staff, good food, very comfy bed, very clean! Great location for touring. Breakfast was excellent, plenty to choose from. Sorry about the tv. WiFi is strong enough. Bathroom wall and kettle socket could be improved. Rest of it was great, thanks!

We had a wonderful stay at a traditional English pub doing B&B. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was comfortable and warm, with lovely beds. The breakfast was delicious, with a good choice of food served promptly by the owner. The location was brilliant, right beside the racing trainers stables and the castle. We highly recommend the Black Bull Inn.

Great value for money with a modern, clean room and comfy beds. The location next to Middleham Castle was fantastic for walks and exploring. The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Breakfast selection could be improved, especially the blackened eggs cooked in dirty oil.

We stayed overnight at a lovely pub in a charming village. The recently refurbished room at the Black Bull was really nice and faced onto the market place. The knowledgeable landlord suggested excellent beers to try and we enjoyed a delicious dinner, especially the steak and ale pie. The enormous cooked-to-order breakfast was a great start to the day. The lovely people and friendly atmosphere made our stay even better. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.
