This hotel is a great find, offering excellent value for money. The staff are welcoming and friendly, ensuring a warm and friendly environment. The rooms are comfortable, with the added bonus of a comfy chair in the bedroom and extra touches like a good supply of biscuits. Located in the Three Peaks area, it's handy to the railway station and provides the perfect base for exploring the stunning surrounding countryside. The breakfast is delicious, especially the toast served.

The Black Horse is a great rest stop in a town, conveniently located near the railway station. The staff are tremendous, providing excellent service and making you feel like part of the family. I recently had the pleasure of staying in a charming pub located in a secure area close to a mainline station. The staff were very friendly and made me feel right at home. The room was comfortable and well-kept, and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast in the morning was superb, with a wide selection to choose from. I also enjoyed spending some time in the pub in the evening, soaking up the local atmosphere.

The lack of hooks or rails for towels in the bathroom, which was a minor inconvenience.

Plus, the inn is truly dog-friendly, which was a bonus for us. Another highlight was how impeccably clean everything was - the place sparkled! the location was perfect for hiking in the stunning Yorkshire hills. We also enjoyed the delicious food, with generous portions. the steak pie, in particular, was filled with quality meat. a delightful experience.

The only tiny thing that could have made breakfast even better would be if the cereals were left out for guests to help themselves.

We had a wonderful welcome at Black Horse after a long journey. the pub/restaurant had a lovely character and a great mix of comfy sofas and dining tables. the main bedroom was huge and really comfortable. the staff were helpful and friendly, allowing us to secure our motorcycles. the ale was well kept and the food was excellent. the breakfast was hearty and delicious. it was a fantastic find and we highly recommend it.

Spent xmas at this hotel. the breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. the location was nice, near some walking areas and had good access to nearby towns. the staff was friendly and made our stay pleasant.

The room was a bit dated and the road noise was disturbing at night. there was no place to hang the towels to dry.

the black horse in hellifield was even better than my last stay. friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, and great value for money. the location was perfect for exploring the yorkshire dales. a good base to have.
