the blacksmiths arms exudes cleanliness - boasts a prime spot near the lake district, and gives you a taste of local vibes. the standout service was them ringing to offer dinner when they knew i'd be arriving late. cons: couldn't recommend more.

The homely atmosphere as soon as you walk in is mind-blowing, rooms are absolutely immaculate with a great selection of ales and spirits, breakfast is definitely worth getting up for, and the fillet steak on haggis in Drambuie sauce gets a perfect 10/10. The owners are wonderful and truly made us feel welcome. Will definitely return soon!
