Additionally, the bar area is lovely and cosy, perfect for relaxing in the evening. The rooms on the ground level offer great views and are equipped with all the basic amenities you need. Lastly, the breakfast served here consists of freshly cooked food that will start your day off right.

The menu for dinner was also quite special, offering unique dishes that I wouldn't normally cook at home. I appreciated the thoughtful and informative wine list, which helped me select a fantastic bottle to accompany my meal. The location was ideal, with picturesque public footpaths nearby and stunning Aysgarth Falls just a short drive away. Despite a few minor drawbacks such as creaking floorboards and the need for some redecorating, my overall experience was enjoyable and I would happily recommend this hotel to others seeking a delightful weekend break.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff's friendly attitude made me feel welcome and at home. The location of the hotel is excellent, situated in a beautiful old pub with a lovely and cosy bar area. The hotel facilities were great, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

The value for money was great and the room was spacious with a lovely private garden. The location was beautiful and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

The food for breakfast could have been better, as there was only one waitress and it took a long time to get our order.

We stayed at the Blue Lion, a charming coaching inn with loads of character. the rooms, although a bit tired in parts, had comfortable beds. the staff were helpful and the food and wine were excellent. the location is picturesque, with great walking opportunities.
