the boars head in skipton never disappoints. from the friendly and accommodating staff to the lovely pub downstairs, everything is top-notch. the food, especially the breakfast, always receives great reviews. a comfortable room, off-road parking, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere make it a wonderful place to escape.

As adults, we loved the friendly and welcoming staff, the delicious food , and the generous portion sizes. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were always helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding hills, and parking was easy. We also appreciated the option of having packed lunches instead of breakfast. a great experience!

The location of the hotel in a small, pretty village was great for walking in the Yorkshire Dales. Additionally, the close proximity to the railway station was very convenient for us.

We had a great stay at The Boars Head. The room was spacious and the bathroom was all to ourselves. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The location was also ideal, with free parking available. We had a lot of fun participating in the evening quiz night with the host. Ordering dinner was convenient, as we could do it just before 9pm and the service was fast. We appreciated the vegetarian options, although we felt that the price of £6.50 for the meal was a bit high considering the simplicity of the ingredients.

The breakfast options at The Boars Head were excellent! They had a great variety to choose from, making sure I had a delicious start to my day. The quality of the food was top-notch and I was thoroughly satisfied with my meal.

I did experience a bit of noise from the corridor in the morning, which could be a problem for light sleepers. However, it wasn't a major issue for me as I was planning on getting up early anyway.

The hotel is conveniently located on a main road, making it a great choice for those on a sightseeing holiday or planning to use the Settle to Carlisle railway. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with spacious showers and daily cleaning service. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout the stay. The breakfast options are varied and delicious, with a good selection of real ales available at the bar.

Some guests have reported noise from road traffic, which is to be expected given its location on a main road.

We stayed 2 nights to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. They were absolutely brilliant. Check in was easy, we had to be up at 4.30am to do the Yorkshire peaks and they left us out cereal, toasters, toast, jam butter etc, milk and juice kept cold in ice buckets. We were there for 2 nights and they cleaned our room which I wasn't expecting. The dinner and breakfast were very good, and price of the wine per bottle reasonable. Bed comfortable. The staff were welcoming, charming, polite, and efficient.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Spent Easter weekend in a hotel in Yorkshire. Location was great and had two really cool features, a beautiful garden and free parking. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from.

The room was not great. The decor was really worn and needed some refurbishing.

We had a wonderful spontaneous night away in the Yorkshire Dales and stumbled upon this hotel in a small pretty village. The location was perfect, allowing us easy access to the dales for sightseeing. The staff were welcoming and polite, ensuring that nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable, with a sofa to relax on after a long day of exploring. The attention to detail was evident, with basic amenities provided and a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs that hit the spot.

All in all, our stay at this hotel was fantastic.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location on the edge of the dales was perfect for accessing walks in the Yorkshire Dales. The staff were friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to help with enquiries and make our stay special. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a good-sized TV and a tea/coffee making facility. The bathroom was spacious, with a shower over the bath. The traditional breakfast served quickly was very good. The hotel's pub atmosphere was just what we were looking for.
