The Bulls Head provided great value for money with comfortable beds, modern touches in the rooms, and a beautifully decorated en-suite. The location was convenient with a lovely supermarket nearby and a highly recommended Indian restaurant next door. The staff were kind, accommodating, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

The morning meal could be improved by extending the closing times for breakfast to accommodate late sleepers.

The car park can be a bit small, but there is free parking available nearby.

We stayed overnight on 7th August before our hike up Helvellyn. The landlord Jamie was incredibly accommodating, catering to our vegan diet at breakfast with ease. He even provided crockery and cutlery for us to enjoy takeout in the pub. The clean rooms had fresh towels and bottled water daily. The family room had an adjoining twin room, perfect for our family of 5. Jamie even made us a packed lunch. a fantastic stay with friendly service and convenient bus access to Windermere.
