We had a great value for our money at the Carew Arms. The room was charming and full of character, and the staff treated us with great hospitality. The location was perfect for our wedding at Crowcombe Court, just a short walk away.

Hotel breakfast could have been improved with a better variety of options.

The location of the hotel is great, not far from the steam railway and in a beautiful area with a herd. The rooms may need some modernization, but they are comfortable and clean. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, making you feel at home. The breakfast is delicious with a wide choice on offer. The historical side of the property adds to its charm, and the bar offers a lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The bathroom facilities might be in need of some renovation.

We had an amazing stay at a charming inn. the staff at Carew Arms were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They took the time to get to know us and ensure our stay was enjoyable. the bed was extremely comfortable and we appreciated being given a quiet room. the location was excellent with stunning views from the beer garden. the selection of ales at the bar was impressive and reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. the breakfast was delicious and any issues were promptly rectified.

The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean which made for a good night's sleep. there was a good choice of meals, and the toiletries in the bathroom were handy. the hotel's location was excellent, giving you stunning views that were perfect for enjoying a relaxing break.

There were some drawbacks to staying at this hotel. the breakfast service wasn't the friendliest, and the staff/owners were talking loudly, which made it challenging to enjoy my meal.

Quaint pub, serving customers for centuries. Motorbike parking available in rear courtyard. Old-fashioned 9 pin bowling alley. Stable fittings and Morris Dancing on Thursdays. Great evening meal and breakfast, with special mention to the Apple Crumble.

I had a great stay at Carew Arms in a lovely little village. the new manager, Ben, was a fantastic host, always going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. the bed was top-notch, providing a great night's sleep. the breakfasts were excellent, and the bar and dining room were also great. the location was very convenient, especially for attending events at Halsway Manor.

The location of this hotel was perfect for attending a wedding in the area. It was conveniently close to the venue and made it easy to get to and from. the bed in our room was extremely comfortable, providing a great night's sleep after a long day of celebration. the staff were super friendly and happy to help with anything we needed.

Instead, the private bathroom was down the hallway, which was a bit inconvenient, especially late at night.

Stunning Setting and Excellent Food

Stopped here for a memorable weekend getaway and I was blown away by the stunning setting of this charming pub tucked away on the edge of the Quantock hills. The surrounding village added to the quaint atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for walkers and nature lovers like myself. The highlight of my stay was the restaurant - the food was exceptional! From the beautifully presented dishes to the delicious flavors, every mouthful was a delight. I particularly recommend trying the ham and eggs, a classic choice that never disappoints. Although there were a few minor maintenance issues, they didn't overshadow the overall experience. With its picturesque location and mouthwatering cuisine, I would definitely recommend a visit to this gem of a pub. I had a great time and look forward to returning in the future.

I recently stayed at The Carew Arms in Taunton for a weekend getaway. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially when my friend's car broke down and they assisted us while we waited for the AA. The location is fantastic and the building itself has a charming, old-world charm. Despite some room maintenance issues, the comfortable beds and delicious breakfast made up for it. the friendly staff and memorable experience at the hotel made our weekend complete.

In conclusion, I totally recommend this hotel.

Lovely and helpful staff. Took time to get to know guests. Quiet room at end of corridor. Great location near wedding venue. Comfy beds and clean room. Stunning views from beer garden. Comfortable beds with toiletries. Good selection of ales, reasonably priced.
