The room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even stayed open late for us after a football match and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located in a great walking area with beautiful views from the back of the property.

Arrived early, allowed immediate check-in. Super clean room, comfy beds. Stunning view of open fields. Well-maintained with ample parking. Excellent facilities and delicious cooked breakfast. Will definitely return. Thank you for the hospitality!

Nice sized rooms. Great and characterful owner-occupied pub in a splendid location for walking. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in any small pub or B&B, and the evening meal equally good. Roaring coal fire included!

The sat-Nav will send you to a dead end and will not recognise the address. The twin bed room is the only one which does not have a bath.

Inn has existed since 1700s, offering moor views. Walk to Langsett Reservoir. Friendly, helpful staff and big, comfy room. Amazing homemade food, especially game sausages and desserts. Great breakfast. Would return to explore more of the area.

Fantastic New Year break at a cosy inn on the edge of the moors. Loved the stunning views of the countryside and the historic feel of the hotel. The warm and welcoming staff provided excellent service, and the food was exceptional with lots of variety. The comfortable room was spotless and included a well-appointed bathroom. Convenient location for exploring the Peak District National Park. Enjoyed the roaring fire in the bar on cold winter evenings.

Mobile reception was not the best, and there was no Wi-Fi available due to the remote location. However, this was not a major issue as it allowed for a peaceful and relaxing break away from technology.

The hotel had a lovely traditional pub atmosphere with friendly staff and good beer. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location in the Peak District was beautiful, with easy access and ample parking.

Lovely atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful moors. Enjoyed the live music and friendly crowd. Our spacious room had all the amenities we needed. The bar meal was delicious, especially the Country platter. Breakfast had a good selection. Worth a visit! Overall I highly recommend this place for a delightful country getaway.

The outside seating area is a nice touch, perfect for enjoying a drink in a traditional setting. The location is convenient, being very close to the city centre. The rooms are comfortable with soft beds and clean bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. The food at the pub is decent, but could be improved for the price.

Lack of variety in the menu options.

The value for money at the Dog And Partridge was excellent, with a wonderful upgrade to a King room. The location was perfect for exploring the Peak District and the staff treated us with exceptional friendliness and attentiveness throughout our stay.

Menu for breakfast could use a little more variety to enhance the overall dining experience.

Visited for a Trail marathon, stayed 3 nights. Lady made sure we had enough food for early breakfast and even provided a Gluten-free snack for my wife. Very spacious and comfortable room. The food was delicious, especially the Beef & Ale pie with generous amounts of beef. Friendly staff and a lovely pub with a cozy fire. Great location with beautiful views. Excellent value for money. Will definitely return to this friendly hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The room itself was spacious and full of character, with beautiful beams and rafters adding to its charm. The hotel's location in the countryside provided stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere.

Clean room with a carpark view and insect-resistant blinds. Breakfast had good toast, but overcooked bacon and sausage. Evening meals were delicious. Friendly staff, accommodating and helpful. Beautiful location.
