If you're looking for a wonderful getaway, this inn is the place to be! Located close to the beach and right in the centre of town, it offers easy access to the sights of interest such as Thomas Hardy's house. The rooms are lovely, clean, and comfortable with modern amenities. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. The breakfasts are delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Plus, the hotel has great facilities, including a nice bar and sitting area outside.

Lovely break, can't wait to go again. Our second visit and staff were as friendly and helpful as the first. Room was spotless clean and beautifully furnished. Ample free parking outside and a supermarket directly opposite for newspapers, etc.

the duchess of cornwall in poundbury was even better than my previous stay in dorchester! the rooms were comfy, the staff attentive, and the breakfast was exceptional. loved the homely atmosphere and the lively band on nye. would highly recommend.

Lovely staff, especially Katie in the dining room. Room 5 was chilly but charming. Breakfast varied, but evening meals were great. Good location with easy parking. Nice outdoor area for drinks. No indoor seating except the bar. Attractive building with some style over substance. Staff were all pleasant and helpful.

We loved the building's architecture, sustainable technology, and its connection to the Duchy of Cornwall. The parking was easy and plentiful, and the staff were knowledgeable and polite. The inclusive breakfast was a great perk, and the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The fresh towels and thoughtful touches like stuffed animals on the bed were appreciated.

The room was comfortable and clean, with thoughtful amenities such as a digital radio and short story leaflets. The bathroom stood out with its great shower, automatic night light, and fluffy towels. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide selection of high-quality food that was cooked to perfection.

I did find the furniture in the room to be uncomfortable and the room facilities were quite basic. The Wi-Fi speeds were poor and the mobile signals were weak.

Beautiful Georgian-style design. Spacious deluxe room on 3rd floor with deep bath and waterfall shower. Excellent food choices, including vegan options. Superb staff and service. Highly recommended for a delightful stay.

We really got our money's worth at the Duchess Of Cornwall. The room was fantastic, and the location couldn't have been better for our stopover from North Devon. The staff were friendly and super helpful.

The breakfast menu could have been improved by omitting the chives on the fried eggs.

As a tourist, I absolutely loved the grand style and location of the hotel. The main square in Poundbury provided a picturesque setting, and the parking right outside was convenient. The room was beautifully furnished, with a comfy bed and a superb shower. We had great views of the square. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the perfectly cooked full English. The dinner in the first-floor restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Being cheaper than Premier Inn and without any noisy kids, it was a great choice. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful.

The Christmas ambiance was quite nice and the complimentary mulled wine and mince pies were appreciated. the hotel's location was also good, being in close proximity to shops, cafes, and attractions. the room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay.

Sadly, the noise level in the lift was awful, making it difficult to get some rest. the complimentary breakfast was slightly lacking compared to other hotels in the area.
