The value for money at Fisherman's Cot was excellent, with a comfortable room and a top-notch shower. The location was fantastic, with a fabulous setting, and the customer service from the manager was superb.

Food for breakfast could be improved with more vegetarian options available for both adults and children.

As longer term business travelers, we loved the comfortable bed and bedding, as well as the spacious and clean room. The staff, particularly Sally at breakfast, were friendly and helpful. The setting of the hotel was gorgeous, even though we couldn't see the river from our room. We requested a quiet room and had a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel, toilets, and our room were all very clean.

Felt right at home, with the staff always willing to assist us. Nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in a cozy room with modern facilities and a clean, comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and responsive, providing great service throughout our stay. The location was fantastic, with beautiful views of the river and a lovely terrace to enjoy meals. The breakfast was excellent, with tasty and well-prepared dishes. Additionally, being close to Exeter Christmas Market was a plus, and despite the limited outdoor seating options, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the South East Devon area.

There was nowhere to sit outside other than the pub.

The setting of the Fisherman's Cot was absolutely enchanting, with beautiful views of the river and a calming atmosphere. The well-kept garden was perfect for morning wanders after a delicious breakfast, which catered to dietary needs including being vegetarian. Despite some minor hiccups, the overall accommodation was satisfactory and the family room, although lacking character, provided adequate comfort.

While the accommodation had its drawbacks, such as a lack of coat hangers in the family room and a slightly lackluster bathroom cleaning, it did not significantly impact our overall experience. Additionally, there were some minor inconveniences during our stay, like the limited availability of certain food options and the inability to have a soya milk latte due to possible cross-contamination.

Patio area needed a good clean.

I was delighted with the stunning location of Fisherman's Cot, right on the riverbank. Sitting outside and enjoying a meal while watching the ducks was a truly beautiful experience. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff, especially the helpful young man at reception, were friendly and went above and beyond to assist us, even arranging a taxi for us. I had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to book a return visit.

The view of the river directly outside our patio doors was incredible. The obliging and pleasant wait staff made our stay even better. The location next to the river and just a short distance from the town centre was ideal. The breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying.

This place is absolutely stunning! It is located right on the banks of a river, next to an old bridge. The seating area outside provides a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful view of the river and relax. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with modern facilities. The staff here were very pleasant and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. They even had a welcome drink waiting for me upon arrival. the location, service, and room amenities were top-notch.
