I recently stayed at The Forresters Arms for a night while walking the Cleveland Way. The hosts were excellent and the food was superb, way beyond traditional pub grub. The large and comfortable bedroom provided a much-needed respite after a long journey. The staff were attentive and professional, creating a memorable stay. The beautiful, peaceful location and the charming village of Kilburn added to the overall experience. I will definitely be returning to this fantastic village pub.

Pro: My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at the Forresters Arms. We arrived late and the staff, especially Duncan, were accommodating and friendly. the room was clean and comfortable, and the location in the pretty village of Kilburn was perfect for exploring North Yorkshire. the food, prepared by their talented French chef, was delicious, especially the duck. the staff, including Gemma and Neil, were welcoming and attentive. Our mischievous pup was also made to feel at ease. We will definitely be returning to this lovely pub.

The hotel itself was situated in a charming old pub, which added to its unique and cozy atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, from the room service to the housekeeping. The room was well-appointed and had all the amenities I needed, including ironing facilities and tea and coffee facilities. I also enjoyed spending time in the sitting area and on the terrace, taking in the beautiful surroundings. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a bonus and allowed me to stay connected during my stay.

From the moment we checked in until we checked out, their friendly and helpful nature made us feel so welcome. The service provided was impeccable, and we were particularly impressed with the homemade breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients.

Spent Christmas at this lovely hotel and it was an amazing experience! the location was perfect, situated right in the heart of town and close to all the key attractions. the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and made us feel right at home. the Christmas dinner was simply amazing, one of the best we’ve ever had, and the festive decorations and atmosphere really added to the ambiance.

The room we stayed in was quite small and the heating system wasn’t very effective, which made the room cold at times. the bathroom had some plumbing issues which resulted in a stale water smell.
