I recently stayed at Fort in York for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants. The quirky rooms were spotlessly clean with a powerful shower and fluffy white towels. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciated the two good quality pillows provided. The shared kitchenette was a nice touch, offering complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The staff at Kennedy's, the bar next door, were excellent and allowed me to store my luggage after checkout. excellent value for money, and I would definitely stay here again.

The room at The Fort was spotless and the furnishings were very pleasant. We enjoyed the 20% discount at Kennedy's next door, where we had excellent fish and chips for supper and a tasty sausage sandwich for breakfast. The kitchen area allowed us to make hot and cold drinks. I would recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at Fort, a lovely hotel in the heart of the city. The breakfast in Kennedy's Bar, located underneath the hotel, was delightful, with a discounted price for guests. The dormitory accommodation was great, with recently refurbished showers and a guest kitchen in my area. They even catered for gluten-free diets, although it would be better with advanced notice. The staff went above and beyond by safely storing my bicycle and carrying it up and down the stairs for me. The free lockers and large bags storage were also very convenient.

Had a fantastic time with my family at The Fort. Staff were really helpful and the location was perfect. Centrally located, it was great for exploring everything. The future room was well-designed, with a en-suite and TV. Everything was fresh and clean, making it feel more like a hotel than a hostel. Great place!

The location of the hotel is perfect, situated right in the centre of York in the pedestrian-only area. It is conveniently close to the train station and major attractions. Additionally, it is right off a main shopping street in York, making it ideal for exploring the city. The rooms are clean and well-decorated, providing a comfortable stay. The bathrooms offer strong power showers, rivaling those of top hotels. The staff is accommodating and the check-in process is seamless. One advantage is the discount of 20% at the restaurant downstairs, which serves delicious food with excellent service.

The beds in the older section of the hostel were uncomfortable and felt lumpy, affecting the overall sleep quality.

The hotel has a great location, very close to popular tourist attractions like a famous church and a well-known tea room. the room we stayed in was small but clean, and the shower was powerful.

The noise at night was unbearable and came from the bar downstairs and the thin walls between rooms. Earplugs were provided, but they didn't help much.

Conveniently located, the renovated rooms were colorful with a great bathroom. Staff were friendly. a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
