Hoptimist served up a top-notch £40 room—it was cozy, clean, and the staff were always friendly. Plus, the central location hit the spot for those monthly stays. the nearby restaurants like the Thomas Sheraton and Vadah added some local spice to the stay.

While the room was snug, the noise from the nightclub next door was a real buzzkill. Some basics like soap and hot water were missing, making the stay less than smooth.

I felt like a secret agent trying to crack the code to access the free WiFi. It was as elusive as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It finally worked, hooray!

Oh, what a joy it was to have a mini concert courtesy of the noisy drunkards outside.
