The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with high-quality ingredients. The rooms exceeded our expectations, rivaling boutique hotels we've stayed in before. The inn had a stylish and comfortable ambiance, and the cleanliness was impeccable. We never heard any outside noise except for the hooting of an owl. The car park was spacious and secure. We also appreciated the warm welcome every time we returned from our day trips. I highly recommend this hotel for a great experience.

We got incredible value for our money at The General Tarleton - the room was comfortable and the coffee and tea were top-notch. The location was perfect, close to Knaresborough, Wetherby, and Harrogate. The staff went above and beyond, from Emily who made sure our reservation was confirmed to the friendly and welcoming service from Emalia, Donald, and the rest of the team.

Food for breakfast could be improved by adding some baked beans to the delicious cooked breakfast.

The staff were exceptional, from the cocktail waiter who provided an enjoyable pre-dinner drinks experience to Emelia, the lovely and knowledgeable waitress who took pride in her work. The dinner in the restaurant was superb, with dishes cooked to perfection, including a delicious Eton Mess for dessert.

For us, it was ideal.
