I recently stayed at The George, a charming hotel on the River Tees. The staff, particularly Brandon, Karin, Amanda, and David, were friendly. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with nice touches like homemade truffles and sweets. The location was excellent, and the pub on-site served delicious food, including the famous local specialty, the chicken parmo. I had a great night's sleep and felt refreshed each day. This is now my favorite place to stay when visiting the area.

The location is perfect and as soon as you enter, you feel a warm and inviting atmosphere. Neil, who checked us in, was friendly and engaging. He also made the best G&T we've ever had! the food was delicious, especially the pate starter with chutney and the generous plate of scampi and fries. the room was clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job during our two-night stay. We had a restful sleep and woke up feeling refreshed. After trying various hotels and Air B&Bs, Sure Hotel Collection has become our favorite and our go-to place when visiting. Thank you for another lovely experience.

I recently stayed at The George - Sure Hotel Collection in Darlington for a weekend getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel grounds offered a stunning view of the river and bridge, adding to the overall charm of the place. Our room was spacious, well-decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a modern bathroom featuring an amazing shower. The full English breakfast was absolutely delicious, with refreshing cold orange juice to start the day. We can't wait to return to this gem of a hotel in the future.

I had a fantastic stay at Sure Hotel Collection. The staff were accommodating and friendly, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They provided us with helpful information about local tourist spots and even offered us a second remote control for our room. The room itself was well-presented with a super comfy bed. I also appreciated the little extras in the room. The cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious, especially the excellent poached eggs. Special mention to Emma, who was especially wonderful. I definitely plan on returning to Sure Hotel Collection in the future. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful period pub! The location was great, not far from the A1/A66, and situated in a lovely area near Barnard Castle with great walks around the hotel. Our room was clean, warm, and newly decorated, with a comfortable bed and fluffy towels. We were impressed by the modern amenities, such as the USB charging ports in all wall sockets. The room also had a nice TV and a good selection of coffee, tea, water, and biscuits. The breakfast was amazing, with options like eggs royale and a cooked English breakfast from the menu, as well as a variety of self-serve items like croissants, toast, cereal, yogurts, fruit, and muffins. The staff were very polite and pleasant, and the bar was open for a drink when we arrived late in the evening.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The location was excellent, right by the River Tees with beautiful bird life to observe. The room was spacious and had a big comfortable bed. The hotel offered great value with the option to book for bed, breakfast, and evening meal. The food was delicious, freshly cooked, and served on-site. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my parents feel very welcome. The breakfast was lovely and there were nice touches like homemade truffles and sweets in the room.
