I recently stayed at The Greyhound in a lovely area. It was the only open hotel around, and I was lucky to find availability. The staff were great - professional, enthusiastic, and keen to please. The caretaking hosts showed genuine interest in the running of the hotel and the guests. The meals and drinks were superb, with a good menu to choose from. The hotel itself was clean, fresh, and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at The Greyhound Hotel - the room was cosy and very clean, and the included breakfast was amazing. The location is a perfect jumping-off point for exploring the Lake District and there is free parking onsite. The bar downstairs is great, with a fireplace and a good selection of gin and whisky. The owners are so kind and helpful - they even made us some sandwiches on the first evening as we arrived a little too late. Thank you for a fab stay!

The room lacked storage for our clothes and bags, which made the space feel cluttered. the bathroom was small and cramped, which could be an issue for larger individuals.
