the staff were incredibly lovely and helpful, even recommending the perfect room for us. the manager, a friendly Canadian, greeted us warmly upon arrival. the room was even better than expected, beautifully decorated and equipped with thoughtful touches like a goody bag with Prosecco and truffles. the bathroom was luxurious with a roll-top bath and Molton Brown toiletries. the dinner at the pub was fantastic, with delicious food and a great selection of drinks. Breakfast the next day was wonderful as well, and we even got some local hiking recommendations from the owner. We can't wait to come back for some fishing in the summer. Highly recommended!

The kitchen extractor in the courtyard is quite noisy and could use an upgrade for a more pleasant environment.

had an amazing anniversary stopover in stockbridge, hampshire. greyhound on the test exceeded our expectations. lovely staff, stylish room, delicious food, and great recommendations for local walks. can't wait to come back for fishing in the summer!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Greyhound! The rooms were beautifully decorated and had all the little touches that made it feel like home. It was perfect for our family, with plenty of space and comfort. The location was stunning, and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the dinner options as well. It was great to find good gluten-free options for us. Spending New Year's Eve at this historical inn was a delightful experience! the food at the hotel restaurant was exceptional, with a varied menu and attentive service. the location was perfect, right in the heart of a charming town surrounded by beautiful countryside. We particularly enjoyed the unique art pieces and antique decor throughout the building. the staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Our room faced a busy street and was quite noisy at night, making it difficult to sleep. the pillows and cushions in our room were numerous and bulky, taking up valuable space and making sitting or sleeping uncomfortable.

As a light sleeper, I was pleased to find that the room was quiet and peaceful, allowing for a restful night's sleep. The upgraded room was spacious and beautifully furnished, complete with a luxurious bathroom and underfloor heating. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout my stay. The food served, both dinner and breakfast, was delicious, with interesting and well-presented dishes. The location of the hotel was convenient, with good car parking available at the rear.

Attention to the slightest detail is sublime. All staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely interior design, atmosphere, and decor. Well-kept and clean. Exquisite food, superb breakfast. Incredible value for money. Delightful location.

We loved the beautiful garden area, especially when the sun was shining. It was a great place for our two dogs and they were made to feel as welcome and looked after as much as we were. The room we had was perfect, and the food was incredible! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The hotel's location by the banks of the River Test was an added bonus.

We left with plans to return in the summer for fishing. Couldn't recommend more highly.
