The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk away from the town hall and right next to an excellent restaurant. The marina called the Pier Point is also within close proximity, allowing for easy access to beautiful waterfront views. The rooms are lovely, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast served at the hotel is excellent, offering a variety of delicious options. Guests can also enjoy the nice garden and the wonderfully pet-friendly atmosphere.

We stayed at Abbey Sands for two nights and it was a fantastic experience. The room had a lovely comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean, including the good sized bathroom and great shower. The staff were warm and friendly, catering to all our needs. The breakfast selection was excellent, and we enjoyed the terrific dinner options as well. The superior room provided us with lovely views. The staff truly made our stay enjoyable, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Breakfast was top notch!

I had a lovely city break in a typically English hotel, with amazing breakfast and friendly staff. the hotel's facilities were excellent, including a brilliant indoor pool and sauna. I particularly enjoyed the location, close to all key attractions and with many restaurants and shops nearby.

The noise from the busy road, which disturbed my sleep a little. the bathroom was a bit outdated and mixed in style, but everything worked safely and there was plenty of hot water.

our recent romantic date in torquay was made even more special with our stay at a charming hotel just outside town. the spacious room, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast surpassed our expectations. we also appreciated the easy walk to the town centre and the helpful parking situation.

Indoor pool refill inconvenienced our short stay.

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was impressive - from the complimentary cakes in the room to the dressing gowns and slippers provided. I loved that our room had direct access to the terrace, allowing us to enjoy the lovely weather. The breakfast was a highlight, with a shiny view of the garden and high quality food. The vegetarian sausages provided were of good quality and the portions were generous.

Limited dining options.

We loved the friendly staff and the warm welcome we received. The hotel truly lives up to its dog-friendly claim, providing our furry friend with his own bowl, blanket, ball, treats. The lounge with the roaring fire was perfect for cozy evenings, and we had a great time playing bingo and Play Your Cards Right. The outdoor and indoor pools, including the jacuzzi, were fantastic amenities that the whole family enjoyed. The hotel was also very clean, giving us peace of mind during our stay.

The rooms were quite worn out and in need of some updating. the lack of air conditioning made the rooms very hot, especially during the summer months.
