We stayed overnight on our way to Whitley Bay and would have been happy to stay longer. The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, with beautiful walks, charming pubs, cafes, and shops all within a few minutes' walk. The bedroom and ensuite were very clean and modern, with a spacious bathroom and all toiletries provided. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room was big enough for us and our two dogs, along with all of our belongings. The hotel even provided water, tea, coffee, and biscuits.

We got great value for our money at the Groves Inn. The room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was huge and super cozy. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the action, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even had a separate entrance for guests with dogs, which was a big bonus for us.

The only thing that could have been better was the food for breakfast. We had a bit of a wait because the chef slept in, and while the food was good, we noticed that the manageress didn't wash her hands after doing some cleaning tasks before serving our food.

As adventure travelers, we loved the central location and proximity to the train station and amenities. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and tidy. The bed was large and comfortable, and we appreciated the complimentary bottled water. The full English breakfast was delicious and filling. it was a great value for money stay.

The Groves Inn in Knaresborough is centrally located and clean & very comfortable, especially the beds. It's close to bars, restaurants, and shops, perfect for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Though there was no on-site parking, there was a cheap long-stay car park nearby. The central location was perfect for exploring the beautiful town and its surrounding areas. Despite the lack of breakfast options at the inn, there were plenty of cafes and restaurants just outside our door. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in a historical town.

The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of Market Square. Although parking wasn't available, there are affordable options nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. The room was well-furnished, with a comfortable and spacious bed. The bathroom was modern and had fluffy towels, with amenities provided. The tea tray was stocked with a great selection, including hot chocolate and tasty treats. Despite being centrally located, the inn was surprisingly quiet throughout our stay. The separate entrance and two flights of stairs ensured no noise from the pub. In addition, there were multiple pay and display car parks available, including a loading space in front.
