Nestled in the stunning Lake District, this hotel offers a cozy escape with its charming 17th-century tavern atmosphere. the staff here are so friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home. the bedrooms are a perfect mix of history and modern luxury, with beautiful views over the valley, comfy beds, and spacious bathrooms. the restaurant serves up delicious meals, a mix of hearty British classics and more refined dishes. the little touches, like fresh milk for your morning cuppa, really make the stay special.

A couple of things that could be improved are the barking dogs in the bar, which can disrupt the relaxing ambiance, and the lack of variety on the Sunday menu. These are minor issues that can easily be addressed to enhance the overall experience.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely gem of an inn. the staff were fantastic, the food was exceptional, and the room was cosy and perfect for a retreat. the inn has a real pub-chic vibe with delightful original features. the recently updated bedrooms strike a balance between luxury and preserving the building's history. the views over the fell from our room were gorgeous. the restaurant served delicious food with a mix of classic British comfort food and fine dining options. the staff were incredibly welcoming and even our dog felt at home. Little touches like the flask of fresh milk outside our room made the stay extra special. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Hare & Hounds Inn was delightful. The location was stunning, tucked away in a scenic area. The inn itself had a rustic charm and was beautifully renovated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food served in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic, with high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients. Our room had breathtaking views and was recently updated with modern amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower and a luxurious bath. The little touches, like the hand soap in the bathroom and the welcome box for our dog, made us feel truly welcome. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend staying at Hare & Hounds Inn.

While our stay was fantastic, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and the waiting staff in the evening could have been more attentive.

The Hare & Hounds Inn was a fantastic place to stay for our 4-night visit. As someone with a background in the hotel industry, I can be quite discerning, but I couldn't find any faults here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the beer and wine selection was well-thought-out, including some delightful dessert wines and fortified wines. The property itself was renovated beautifully, with warm and inviting decor. The breakfasts were also top-notch. We felt like part of the family during our stay. We will definitely be returning.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming inn called Hare & Hounds. the atmosphere was welcoming right from the start, with a friendly staff that went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. the room was beautifully decorated and perfect for a small getaway. the highlight was the delicious breakfast, where I had a perfectly poached egg every morning, along with freshly baked bread. the dinner I had on the first night was exceptional, showcasing the talent of their skilled chef and team. it was an ideal destination for a few romantic nights away.
