The Hawthorne had a beautifully decorated and well-equipped shared kitchen, perfect for those who prefer the convenience of home-cooked meals. The balcony was a great addition for smokers, and the free parking was a bonus. The availability of washers and dryers at a reasonable price made our stay even more comfortable.

Upon arrival for a pre-booked Family 16th Birthday Party, the door was locked and no one answered the phone. We had to find alternative accommodations and missed our dinner reservation, causing inconvenience and disappointment.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at this lovely place. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly couple who offered to help with our bags. They gave us a guided tour of the spacious and clean room, which had a beautiful balcony with stunning views. We also had access to a shared kitchen, which was a great convenience. the hosts were kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

We really appreciated the fully functional kitchens on each floor, which saved us money on eating out. The location was convenient, as it was only an hour away from the Peak District. we highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, facilities, friendly staff, and great location.

My stay at The Hawthorne was fantastic. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rain shower in the bathroom was fabulous. It was great to wake up to the sound of birds tweeting. The room had a shared kitchen which was perfect for making snacks or doing laundry. The terrace received sunshine all day long, and having a fridge and kettle in the room was convenient. The staff were friendly, and the bar served delicious food. Plus, parking was provided free of charge. a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

My second stay at this hidden gem and it truly feels like a home from home. The owners were incredibly accommodating to my children and me. The hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable, and I love having access to the fully equipped kitchen facilities. The hot water and water pressure in the shower were exceptional, and I had a peaceful night's sleep despite the room being located above the pub. The fully equipped kitchen and nearby Tesco express were convenient for preparing meals. The beautiful decor gave the place a cozy and homely feel, making it a hidden gem that I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

There were a few issues that detracted from our experience. there was a door nearby that would bang three times when left to close on its own, which was quite noisy.
