There were some guests with dogs, which may be a consideration for those who are not comfortable around animals.

The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The views from the hotel were absolutely stunning, with picturesque scenery all around. The breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying, giving us the perfect start to our day. One great advantage of this hotel is its cozy and friendly atmosphere, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

We experienced some noise issues during our stay. We could hear our neighbors making loud noises late at night and early in the morning, which disturbed our peace.

We absolutely loved the Gothic and arts & crafts architecture and styling of The Hostelrie. The gorgeous room was a perfect fit for our budget, and we were even greeted by Alfie the pointer pup. The excellent local ciders and the fabulous staff who treated us like princesses were a delightful surprise. The food was lovely, and the Baileys and white chocolate cheesecake was to die for! We especially enjoyed exploring the maze-like upstairs, with its charming corridors and hidden corners. And let's not forget the absolutely gorgeous downstairs ladies' toilet. The setting was wonderful, and waking up to birdsong was pure bliss. We also enjoyed relaxing in a window seat with a good book.

We recently had a great city break stay with our dog. the breakfast was really good, with a wide selection of fruits and cooked options, and real milk in the rooms. the staff were helpful, welcoming and very dog-friendly. We also loved the garden where our dog could run around safely. the location was perfect for exploring the surroundings.

We found some downsides. the room was a bit cramped and we had trouble with the bed, which was quite small and uncomfortable.
