We had an incredible stay at this hidden gem of a pub in a lovely village near the M4. The landlord and staff made us feel like locals and were incredibly friendly and chatty. The accommodation, particularly the stable house, was exceptional with two floors and all the comforts we needed for a lengthy stay. The rooms above the pub were also delightful. The food at the pub was perfect - both our evening meal and breakfast were plentiful and beautifully cooked. a fantastic experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely loved the large room and the beautiful location of this hidden gem. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our romantic escape. The fact that it was dog-friendly was a huge plus as we couldn't leave our furry friend behind.

There were a few things that we didn't quite like. The noise from the pub below made it difficult for us to get a good night's sleep.

The location of the hotel is ideal, with charming thatched cottages in the nearby hamlet, creating a picturesque setting. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, even allowing pets to stay. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, with the Desert Orchid suite being particularly exceptional. The breakfast is superb, with a variety of options to choose from, including a delicious Greek salad and fish and chips. The beer selection is also worth mentioning, with excellent ales on offer.

The mattress could use an upgrade for added comfort.

We stumbled upon a hidden gem at The Ibex Inn. Set in an idyllic village, this old inn with modern annex rooms was perfect for our getaway. The friendly staff, excellent restaurant, and selection of real ales added to the charm. The spacious room and comfortable bed made for a relaxing stay. And the breakfast was delicious. We even enjoyed playing fetch with the pub collie in the beer garden. Highly recommend this place!

Well-equipped room, beautifully decorated, with a large, clean bathroom and a great shower. Comfy bed in a lovely country location with nice walks nearby. Delicious dinner and breakfast, outstanding value for money. Friendly, professional and caring staff. Relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The bar had a great selection of real ales, making it a perfect spot for beer enthusiasts. the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a mouth-watering haddock and poached eggs. the bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep.

One major downside was the lack of proper accessibility in the rooms. the steep wooden staircase leading up to our first-floor room was difficult for my wife to manage with her walking stick.

During my Christmas stay at this hotel, I appreciated the friendly welcome from the staff. the good selection of beer in the bar was a pleasant surprise.

My experience was marred by the lack of noise insulation between the rooms and the noisy bar below. I had an uncomfortable night's sleep due to the noise disturbances.

We stayed at an inn in a delightful village. the spacious room with a comfortable king-sized bed and en-suite shower room was perfect. the living, dining, and kitchen area was well-equipped and led to a small terrace. Breakfast, served in the inn or garden, was excellent with a variety of cereal options and a choice of cooked breakfasts. the village itself was picturesque with thatched cottages and very little traffic. We had a wonderful stay and found the place to be one of the most welcoming we have experienced.
