I recently had a wonderful stay at a countryside escape called Jewel In The Crown. The property, which is part of a former old pub, was full of character and had plenty of room for my family of four. The hosts, Angus and Barbara, were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even upgraded us to their other accommodation due to a boiler issue. The surrounding area was beautiful, and my kids loved watching the chickens roam freely on the working farm. The provisions left for breakfast were the best I've ever had, with a well-stocked fridge including eggs, bacon, bread, and more. The beds were comfy, and we enjoyed the quirky bath and log fire.

We had a fantastic stay at The Jewel In The Crown. The hotel was meticulously clean and well-maintained. The facilities provided were excellent, including a well-heated and cozy room. The location was central, offering easy access to a variety of activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, rowing, and motor boating. The breakfast spread was plentiful and delicious, with a variety of options available. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The owners were amazing, so attentive and helpful. They even offered to drive us to a wedding we were attending. The accommodation was comfy and had everything we needed. The garden was beautiful and I can imagine it being perfect on a hot summer day. Plus, the animals on the farm were lovely and I wish we had more time to explore.

Finding the location was a bit tricky, especially in the dark. However, the hosts quickly sorted it out for us.
