Nothing not to love.

The rooms were surprisingly spacious and well-furnished, with a large bathroom that had a walk-in shower and a standalone bath. They also provided plenty of tea bags and biscuits, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel was convenient, being centrally located in town. The food served at the pub was decent, and the staff were friendly and polite.

The rooms lacked natural daylight and felt quite dark and cavernous. This made it necessary to keep the lights on at all times, which wasn't ideal for relaxation.

My recent stay at The John Francis Basset Wetherspoon was a convenient and comfortable experience. The location was ideal, with bus stops nearby and the railway station within a short walk. The service at reception was friendly and helpful. The food at the Wetherspoons pub next door was of expected standard and provided great value, especially with the current government deal. The price I paid was reasonable considering the quality of the accommodation.

One minor inconvenience was the lack of parking, which required finding street parking or using a nearby long stay car park. Additionally, there was some noise from other guests and outside, which may have affected sleep quality.

The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the area. It is also close to a bus terminal, allowing for convenient travel to other parts of Cornwall. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with modern and well-equipped bathrooms. The friendly and helpful staff provide excellent service. Guests can enjoy a full-service bar and restaurant attached to the hotel. Some rooms even offer a fantastic view.

Limited parking options may be a challenge, especially during busier periods.

The room at John Francis Basset Wetherspoon was absolutely stunning. It exuded 5-star luxury and was even better than some of the hotels I've stayed at in Thailand. The attention to detail in the furnishings and amenities was impressive. I especially loved the comfortable bed and the amazing bathroom with its luxurious towels and great shower. I had a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this hotel.

Spent Christmas at a great accommodation with friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean, with complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits, and a large TV. The location was perfect, right in the center of town, and the meals and drinks offered down the pub were fantastic value for money. the walk-in shower was adapted for disabled users, which was considerate.

The pub's tables and menus weren't very clean, which detracted from the dining experience. on-site parking was not available, but nearby paid parking was a decent alternative.

This hotel is a real gem! the value for money is outstanding. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the location just under the clock tower which chimed loudly on the hour, adding a quaint touch to our stay. Secondly, the attention to detail is impressive. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our needs were met throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that provided a great night's sleep. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a hearty meal to start our day off right.

The hotel is conveniently located near the bus and train station, making it easy to travel around. It is also close to local shops and the pub, making it convenient for grabbing a quick drink or snack. Additionally, it is situated near the main tourist attraction, allowing guests to easily explore the area.

One slight downside is that there is no on-site parking available, which means guests may have to find parking on a side street.

Nothing not to like.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, using it as our base to explore Cornwall. The location was ideal, right in the heart of town and close to an Aldi supermarket. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information about local attractions, restaurants, and facilities. Our room was spacious with a high ceiling, and it was impeccably clean. The bathroom was modern and the shower was large and luxurious. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning.

It would have been even better if there was a window in our room.
