What a gem of a place! I stayed at The Lilac Door for one short night and it was fantastic. Jane, the hostess, was friendly and welcoming, providing a wealth of local knowledge. The house itself was beautiful, with comfortable and stylish rooms. The breakfast offered plenty of choices, excellent quality, and was beautifully presented. I honestly cannot fault a thing. But the best part was the incredibly comfortable bed that I am still daydreaming about!

The location was amazing, very quiet and peaceful. the bed was extremely comfortable, I had the best night's sleep. the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from.

I had an attic room, which had limited headroom on one side and above the chairs. the bathroom window didn't have a blind, so the early morning sun woke me up.
