The Lord Nelson exceeded our expectations as a family-friendly establishment. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was clean. The food was amazing, especially the Nelson burger. Plus, the fact that we could accommodate our entire family in one room was a huge bonus for our peace of mind. The location was also convenient, only about a mile from the A1.

I recently stayed at a lovely village inn called The Bell, and it was a delightful experience. The cozy atmosphere, wooden floors, and friendly staff immediately made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious and clean, with comfortable twin beds that were put together to form a decent-sized double bed. The electric shower in the large bathroom had a good strength, and the garden had plenty of seating and a kids' play park. The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent, with delicious food and excellent service.

There was no breakfast option during the week. However, the morning cleaner kindly directed us and other guests to a local Deli for breakfast instead.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the pub itself had a lovely garden and play area for children. Plus, it's dog-friendly! I will definitely return to this hidden gem.

We had a fantastic experience at The Lord Nelson! It's conveniently located near the A1, making it an ideal stopover on our long journey from the West of Scotland to East Kent. The friendly staff and excellent food made us feel right at home. We loved the comfortable and spacious rooms, especially since they were located in a stable block, which was perfect for my wife's guide dog. The value for money was exceptional, and we will definitely be back!
