That the kitchen closed quite early, which was a bit disappointing after a long nine-hour drive. We had to make do with snacks and drinks instead of a proper meal.

I stayed at The Mill Inn for 2 nights to watch the Tour of Britain Cycle Race. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were accommodating when our arrival was delayed. The location is off the beaten track, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere with scenic walking trails nearby. The fish and chips on Fish Friday were delicious and fresh, and they also catered reasonably well for a gluten-free diet. The shower had plenty of hot water and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently close to Keswick, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Excellent value for money!
