The hotel was fantastic! the food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We especially loved the attention to detail in every dish. the hotel's location was perfect for us, with easy access to key attractions and amenities in the area. It was a convenient and enjoyable stay overall.

Although our experience at the hotel was mostly positive, there were a few minor drawbacks. our room was located near a busy junction, which resulted in some traffic noise in the morning.

A Warm Welcome in the Rain

After cycling through the rain for hours, we arrived at the village of Helperby in need of a place to dry off. The Oak Tree Inn provided us with a warm welcome and two roaring open fires, perfect for thawing out. The latte's we ordered were spot on and accompanied by delightful chocolates. We were thrilled to discover that the Inn had rooms available at a reasonable price, and we were lucky to secure the Willow room with an ensuite. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished, with thoughtful touches like biscuits and bathroom toiletries. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had the best sleep ever. The ensuite, though compact, had everything we needed, and the underfloor heating was a bonus. The Inn's menu offered a wide range of delicious meals at reasonable prices, including options for different appetites and dietary requirements. We opted for the gourmet cheese burger, which was served on brioche buns with homemade relish and absolutely morish. The following morning, we enjoyed a welcoming breakfast buffet, with a choice of continental or cooked options. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay, making it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this charming inn for its comfortable rooms, delicious food, and friendly ambiance.

The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was situated near Harrogate and York, making it convenient for visiting major attractions. We even took a day trip to Whitby. The room was well furnished with a large, comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom that had a jacuzzi bath and a separate walk-in shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hospitality tray had a good selection of quality teas, as well as complimentary bottled water.

It seemed like the room we were eating in was not a priority, as indicated by the delayed service and the fact that another table had also waited for a long time.

The location of the hotel was excellent, situated in a charming village with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast selection was fantastic, with a variety of options including fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereals.

The room was quite small, which made it feel a bit cramped and lacking in space. The main course at dinner was not up to the same standard as the starters, as certain aspects, like the crispy belly pork, were not crispy as expected.

I recently stayed at a lovely inn in Brafferton and had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring all our requests were met. Despite a slight issue with the room temperature, it was quickly resolved. The highlight was definitely the delicious breakfast served by Olivia, who provided a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. I will definitely be staying here again and recommending it to my friends and family.

The value for money was excellent and the room was absolutely gorgeous with a relaxing jacuzzi bathtub. The location was perfect for a peaceful stay in the countryside and the staff treated us with a pleasant welcome and great service throughout our stay.

The hotel breakfast menu could be improved by ensuring the sausage is not overcooked and the bacon is not dry.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to meet our needs. They swiftly resolved a room allocation issue and provided us with the best customer service we have ever experienced. The hotel facilities were excellent, particularly the bar/pub area which had a great selection of beers and wine. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom that had underfloor heating and a large shower. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices and locally sourced produce. we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

My Easter stay at an Inn located in a picturesque village was a memorable experience. I liked the good array of menu options offered, especially the flavorsome steak and the delightful crème brulée with a crispy top. the comfortable and spacious bedroom, assisted by the good coffee/tea facilities and the well-appointed en suite, made for a perfect relaxing stay.

And while the good range of buffet options, along with a tasty variety of cooked options, were offered, the fact that nothing was communicated regarding breakfast time either during check-in or in the room meant that I missed out on breakfast on my first morning and felt somewhat misled.

We got great value for our money, with a spacious and comfortable room that exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for visiting the local abbeys, and the staff treated us with friendliness and helpfulness.

Breakfast delights were just missing a clear time schedule, leading to disappointment when we came down "too late" without being informed beforehand.

The staff at this hotel were really good and provided excellent service. the meal we had in the evening was delicious and reasonably priced. the steak and cod were cooked perfectly and the desserts were also good. the entire staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay enjoyable.

There were some aspects of our stay that were disappointing. the room we stayed in had cobwebs over the light fittings and a main light fixture made of wine glasses covered in thick dust.

Immaculate en-suite with thoughtfully provided extras like cafetiere and bottled water. Excellent meals, especially top-notch sirloin steak. Friendly and helpful staff. Already planning a return visit.
