had a fantastic valentine's day at a cozy hotel in Woodham Ferrers. oakland's staff were welcoming, rooms clean, and breakfast delicious. exceeded expectations from my previous stay.

Noisy bar music until midnight.

We loved the large room with its quirky décor, a refreshing change from the usual generic hotels. The modern bathroom was equipped with high-quality towels. The friendly staff were always willing to provide extra tea, coffee, and other amenities for our room. The breakfast provided was more than satisfactory. The hotel's location was ideal, right in the centre of the city, with numerous food options nearby.

just got back from a day tour in woodham ferrers, and oakland really impressed me. the owner is so welcoming, and the bar staff and bouncer are super friendly. loved the champagne surprise in the room too! plenty of places to eat nearby, overall a great experience.

I recently stayed at The Oakland Hotel for a weekend getaway. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff at the hotel were lovely and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. I was pleasantly surprised by the well-stocked tea trays in the room. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, with a variety of options including unlimited cereal, toast, juice, coffee. The hotel is also conveniently located near several shops, including an Asda, kebab shops, fish and chip shops, and a fantastic Indian restaurant called Mango.

My stay was for three nights and it exceeded my expectations. The hotel provided adequate facilities and even though they didn't serve food on the evening of my arrival, they were more than happy for me to bring in a takeaway and provided me with plates and cutlery. The location was great, with plenty of dining options nearby and a fantastic Chinese takeaway just a short walk away. The room was clean and spacious, with lots of tea and coffee making facilities. I also appreciated the off-road parking at the back of the hotel.

The hotel was centrally located, with a supermarket just a few minutes' walk away. However, the noise from the attached bar downstairs was a major drawback. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast included a Full English, and there were live bands playing on weekends. However, the small TV and lack of lift may be inconvenient for some guests.
