The room at The Old Bear Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was a lovely conversion located at the end of the pub garden, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The bed was large and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I also appreciated the en suite shower, which was in good condition. Additionally, there was a TV provided in the room for entertainment. The manager was helpful and tried to resolve the WiFi issue, although it unfortunately didn't work out.

I had a great stay at this hotel which offered excellent value for money. The attention to detail in the room was impressive, with good quality linen on the comfortable bed. The hotel's location next to the outdoor beer garden was perfect for enjoying a drink in the evening and the staff were friendly and attentive. Additionally, the piping hot shower in the room was a welcome feature after a long day of walking the Thames Path, which is conveniently just 300 yards away from the pub.

All in all, my stay at this hotel was fantastic and I couldn't find any aspects that needed improvement.

Stayed over Christmas and the decorations were lovely, added to the festive atmosphere. the triple room was spacious with very comfortable beds and a great shower. the blackout blind made it easy to sleep in. the locals in the pub downstairs were very friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a few drinks.

The WiFi didn't reach our room, which was located at the back of the pub garden, although the manager did try to help find an alternative. the pigeons nesting outside the room made noise occasionally.

The rooms were modern and clean, with a nice en suite bathroom and a very nice shower. The location of the hotel was fantastic, right in the heart of the town. It was also great to have tea and coffee available in the room, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring.

There were a few downsides to my stay. One major issue was the noise.

our stopover in cricklade was even better this time! the triple room at old bear inn was spacious and clean, with super comfy beds and fluffy towels. the blackout blind kept it nice and dark for a good sleep. loved the private entrance and smooth check-in. highly recommended!

Shower took ages to warm up.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We had a fantastic family stay in a small but clean room located right in Cricklade town centre. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the manager was incredibly helpful. The room was recently decorated and had comfortable beds for all of us. The shower was powerful and refreshing, and we were provided with nice towels. The location was perfect, right by the pub's beer garden at the back, allowing us to enjoy some quality time outside. It was a great base for exploring the charming village.

The wifi service was non-existent or very poor, making it difficult for us to stay connected during our stay.

There was a lot of noise coming from the neighboring rooms, with slamming doors that shook the walls. there was no decaf coffee available, which was a disappointment.

the old bear inn in cricklade never fails to impress! friendly staff, clean rooms and comfy beds. the location on the high street with parking is so handy. excellent value for money, i'll definitely return.
