I had a fantastic stay at this hotel right in the centre of a lovely old town. The location was perfect! The hotel had excellent facilities, including a beautiful garden with well-designed wooden seating divided by pagodas. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel also had convenient parking options nearby.

Database Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Spacious family room with useful kitchen area. Fabulous breakfast. Staff waited for us to arrive even though they had closed the pub for the evening. Comfortable bed, good shower, and reasonable bedside light. Roomy outside tables with parasols. Wonderful fig tree to sit by. City-central location ideal for exploring the inner area. Nearby amenities such as banks, post office, and bookshops with coffee shops.

Lovely room, but a bit noisy

My husband and I stayed at The Old Drum for two nights. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Our room was lovely, very fresh and clean with a comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and included good quality ingredients. They even arranged taxis for us and confirmed the arrangements by text. If we are back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous room, slightly small but beautifully decorated. Back entrance key provided to avoid walking through pub. Cosy pub with lovely atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again if needed in the area.

The Old Drum exceeded all our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even accommodating our late check-in at 11pm. The room was beautifully decorated, fresh, and clean, with a comfortable bed and a lovely ensuite bathroom. The hotel provided a delicious and filling breakfast, which was included in the room rate. They even went above and beyond by arranging a taxi for us to attend a wedding and following up with the taxi company to ensure our safe return. If we find ourselves in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.
