The building itself was beautiful and full of character. the beds were comfortable and the rooms were tastefully decorated. One of the best things about the hotel was its location, it was very conveniently located and easy to find. Another advantage was the private car parking available, which made it convenient for guests with their own vehicles.

One of the worst aspects was having to share a bathroom, especially since it was located a flight of stairs down. This could be an issue for people with mobility problems or those who value more privacy.

Lovely B&B with sea view room. Some upgrades needed in bathroom. Optional continental breakfast was high standard with fresh eggs from owner's hens. Vintage style room with comfy bed and sea view. Great location, short walk to town centre. Helpful staff and free parking.

We had a wonderful stay at Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast. Ashleigh, the host, was incredibly welcoming and even called us on the day to confirm our check-in time. the room we stayed in was lovely, with large windows that provided a bright and airy atmosphere. the view from our room was absolutely stunning, allowing us to enjoy watching the Largs/Cumbrae ferry go back and forth from the comfort of our bed. the facilities, including a kettle, TV, and en-suite shower room, were great. We also appreciated Ashleigh's recommendations for places to eat in the local area and she even provided us with a local taxi number. a lovely stay!
