The building itself was beautiful and full of character. the beds were comfortable and the rooms were tastefully decorated. One of the best things about the hotel was its location, it was very conveniently located and easy to find. Another advantage was the private car parking available, which made it convenient for guests with their own vehicles.

One of the worst aspects was having to share a bathroom, especially since it was located a flight of stairs down. This could be an issue for people with mobility problems or those who value more privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast. Ashleigh, the host, was incredibly welcoming and even called us on the day to confirm our check-in time. the room we stayed in was lovely, with large windows that provided a bright and airy atmosphere. the view from our room was absolutely stunning, allowing us to enjoy watching the Largs/Cumbrae ferry go back and forth from the comfort of our bed. the facilities, including a kettle, TV, and en-suite shower room, were great. We also appreciated Ashleigh's recommendations for places to eat in the local area and she even provided us with a local taxi number. a lovely stay!

The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect! It was right on the water, offering a stunning view of the ferries going back and forth. Our room had a view of the water as well and was clean and comfortable. the fresh fruit and eggs for breakfast were delicious, and we appreciated the option of a full Scottish breakfast.

The customer service at this hotel was extremely poor. We had difficulty contacting the property upon arrival and had to wait until 6pm to gain entry.

We had a fantastic stay by the sea with a fantastic view. The hotel was clean and had great facilities. Parking was available, as long as guests parked sensibly. The hotel was located on the quieter side of the promenade, making it a peaceful retreat. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home.
