I recently stayed at The Old Rectory in Norwich for a weekend getaway. Chris and Sally were exceptional hosts in this beautiful country house. The restaurant served imaginative and high-quality meals with complex flavors. The location was ideal for exploring North Norfolk. The main house had a stunning view and the public areas were comfortable. The friendly owner personally greeted me and the room and furniture were of high standard. It truly felt like a home away from home, complete with a large garden and swimming pool.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The value for money at this place was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean, with a large bathroom that had a fantastic bath and shower. The location was also beautiful, set in a gem of a setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home throughout my stay. The attention to detail and the ambiance of the hotel added to the warm and comfortable feel. The chef even went out of their way to cook me a delicious dinner, even though the kitchen had closed. a lovely experience.

The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from some variation for longer stays, such as adding fish options like smoked haddock, kippers, and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.

The setting of the hotel was beautiful with lovely grounds and a swimming pool. The room we stayed in was spacious and the en-suite bathroom was large with a corner bath. The location of the hotel was convenient, with a river bank nearby for a nice walk.

The weather during our stay was not ideal, so we weren't able to fully enjoy the swimming pool. The service at breakfast was a bit lacking, as my porridge and berries was quite small and the cooked breakfast only had one mushroom.

We had a fantastic stay at the charming Old Rectory. the deluxe double room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with period furnishings. the bathroom, while a bit low-ceilinged, was still lovely. the breakfast menu offered a wide variety of options and the food was delicious. the proprietors were incredibly friendly and welcoming. the experience was so enjoyable that we can't wait to return on our next visit to the area.

Stunning views of the gardens from some rooms, wheelchair accessibility, grand 19th-century home, experienced staff. Cons: Apparently the radiators, the bathroom fan, the wireless internet, and the coffee were all on strike during my stay. Hilarious.

I got great value for my money at The Old Rectory. The room was lovely and the location was peaceful. The staff treated me like royalty.

The breakfast option could have been more satisfying with a better variety.

As a satisfied guest staying at The Old Rectory, I was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The property has a charming character and is well-maintained, both in the rooms and communal areas. Our room was incredibly comfortable and the heating was turned on for us while we were out. The breakfast was served on hot plates, ensuring our meal was enjoyable. The food was cooked perfectly and exactly to our liking. The room was exceptionally clean, the cleanest we've ever experienced in any hotel or B&B. Chris, the owner, was lovely and welcoming. a fantastic stay, and I highly recommend it.
