Clean, comfortable, lovely owner who was so keen to offer any assistance. Good location for us being rural but only a short distance from the city. the abundance of tea, Nescafé, sugar, and milk made us feel like we were at the Ritz. the self-service breakfast and kitchenette suited us perfectly!

Automatic bathroom lights stayed on longer than needed.

Had a great time exploring Bristol's history, indulging in delicious food, and enjoying amazing shows. The guest house had lovely decor, free WiFi, and even off-road parking. Definitely made the most of my stay!

Oh, and how could I forget the small pleasure of struggling with narrow, handrail-less stairs and worrying about escaping through the kitchen in case of a fire. Such a delight!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and made sure that I felt right at home. The help-yourself breakfast had a good variety of choices, perfect for my needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean accommodation with great breakfast. Lovely building. Close to train station and bus stop. Incredibly kind owners went out of their way to help.

The room was small and cramped, and the heating system was confusing. the hotel was overpriced and lacked the amenities and overall value that other hotels in the area offer.

I had a great stay at the Old Star. The value for money was excellent, with comfortable beds and a strong shower. The location was perfect, just outside of Bristol, so I could escape the noise and traffic. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.
