My wife and I stayed at The Olde Peculiar for a weekend visit to the area. The apartment we booked was clean and spacious, with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast choices were great, with locally sourced sausages and bacon. The owners and staff were very pleasant and accommodating, providing us with a delicious dinner and a cheerful early breakfast. The pub on the premises was a lovely place to relax, even though it was closed on the day of our stay. a nice place to stay with excellent hosts and good facilities.

What's more, the friendly atmosphere ensured there was no need for CCTV. The cooked-to-order breakfast was a delightful touch, with a good selection of cereals, freshly cooked toast, and delicious coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, great food, and friendly ambiance.

The hotel had a great location near the canal and another pub was very close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. The off-street car parking was free.

We found a good stop at a pub down the road where we enjoyed delicious baguettes. The location is ideal as it is close to the canal, perfect for countryside walks. The room was warm and comfy, with a good TV reception. The shower was also great. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay pleasant. If we are in the area again, we would definitely choose to stay here.

I recently celebrated my pending 50th Birthday at this cozy pub and restaurant with a group of 12. The staff were attentive to our every need and the drinks flowed freely all night. The home cooked food was delicious and great value for money. We even had a table at the end of the pub that my wife decorated with balloons and bunting, making the celebration even more special. The Sunday Lunch is definitely on my list for the next visit. If you're looking for a family friendly pub with a friendly atmosphere, fresh home cooked food, and a good selection of ales and lagers, look no further than The Olde Peculiar. I highly recommend this place for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

The limited seating availability in one small square of the pub was a slight disappointment, with only four tables, and two of them not big enough for dining. This made it difficult to enjoy a meal comfortably and also meant that the pub was not very dog-friendly.

the room was like a suite with an extra bedroom, and it was clean, bright, and comfortable. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pub/restaurant had a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It felt more like a cozy coffee shop filled with families, complete with board games and a great selection of books. the dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and they even made me special off-menu vegetarian options. I highly recommend a visit if you're lucky enough to book a room.
