The location of the B & B was perfect, right on the high street with a delightful stationery shop below. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and it was a nice touch to have it served in the room. Access to a fridge and fresh milk was a bonus. I also enjoyed the subtle nods to the film The Shining, which added some amusement to the stay.

It's also directly across from the George & Pilgrim, which makes for an easy stagger home from the pub. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, with excellent shower and bathroom facilities. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, providing us with a substantial vegan breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was delicious and served exactly when we wanted it.

The bed was comfortable and the heating worked well. I also loved having access to Netflix on the TV and the mini-fridge right outside my room. But the highlight of my stay was Steve, the caretaker, who went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful stay. From the little touches like fresh water and milk daily to bringing breakfast right to my room, his service was truly magnificent.
