The location was great - right in the heart of the town square, with easy access to restaurants and shops. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a modern bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always with a smile.

The pub, which is the main business of the hotel, was closed during my stay. It would have been nice to have that option for dinner or a drink.

The value for money at the Pelican Inn was absolutely fantastic. The recently refurbished room was so nice and modern, it was definitely worth it. The location was great, right in the center of town but still quiet. The staff gave us such a warm and cheerful welcome, it made our stay even better.

The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if breakfast was included.

Stayed during xmas time. The heated towel rail was great. The room was lovely and comfortable. The best aspect was the separate entrance to the rooms, located at the side of the hotel which was convenient since we didn't have to go through the bar. Good location with loads of shops and restaurants nearby.

No wifi in the room, we had to go to the bar for it. Another negative aspect was that the room was located on the courtyard/garden area used by people drinking in the pub.

The noise on Saturday night was unbearable, lasting well past midnight. The pub had karaoke, which wasn't a problem since you couldn't hear it, but the beer garden remained open until 1am.
