The Phoenix Guest House was in a nice area and close to the seafront and main bus route. The property was clean and tidy, with a helpful and attentive owner/manager. The room was well-equipped and spotlessly clean to a high standard. The on-street parking was ample and free of charge. The location was convenient, with the town center and rail station a short walk away.

It is also close to the North Bay and open top buses that can take you to the South Bay. it is near the open air theatre, which is great for those who enjoy concerts. The rooms are clean and well-decorated, with comfortable beds and nice carpets. The breakfast is delicious and well-presented, with options like poached eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal. the staff is very friendly and helpful.

One minor drawback is that the rooms can be a bit small for longer stays.
