I had a wonderful stay at a small hotel in the English countryside! The rooms were clean and spacious, and despite facing the street, they were surprisingly quiet. The breakfast was delicious, with a hearty full English that left me satisfied. The hotel's pub on the ground floor was a lovely addition, and the beautiful garden was a great place to relax. However, the best part of my experience was the staff. John and his wife, the owners, were always friendly and welcoming. Their warm hospitality made my stay even more memorable.

We had a fantastic stay at The Poacher Inn. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and empathetic, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel facilities were excellent, and the room we stayed in was lovely and quiet, with no traffic noise. The location was great, as it was near lots of visitor attractions and allowed us to easily explore the surrounding area. The evening meal was outstanding, with large portions and a great selection. The small touches like providing tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and water in the room made us feel well taken care of.

We've stayed at a lovely pub in a quiet village just outside of Alton. The Poacher Inn provided cosy and clean rooms, excellent food, and friendly service. The chef's pride in his work was evident, and the meals were outstanding. The location was perfect for exploring the countryside and going for morning runs. We had a fantastic stay at a charming inn near a beautiful wedding venue. The staff at Poacher Inn were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The chef particularly impressed us with the delicious food in the pub. Our room, number 5, was spacious and perfect for our needs as we were traveling with our 11-month-old baby. He had plenty of space to crawl around, and there was enough room for all our belongings. The pillows were also a highlight, providing us with a comfortable night's sleep. It was a quiet and cozy place, exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for a perfect stay!

I particularly loved the little touches, such as the chalkboard on the breakfast table and the care taken in decorating the rooms. It made the whole experience feel special and memorable.

I've stayed at this lovely village pub many times while working in the area. Great location for a morning run in the countryside. Comfortable rooms with spotlessly clean facilities. Friendly and helpful staff who even offer packed lunches if needed. Delicious meals and breakfast made to my taste. Windows that open and radiators that can be adjusted, no nasty aircon. Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful stay.
