The hotel is conveniently located very close to the city centre and is right in the historical part of the city. It is positioned about 3/4 of the way up a steep hillside, which leads into the castle and cathedral complex. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, offering a comfortable mattress and the convenience of Netflix. The staff is warm, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable stay.

The driveway to the property can be a bit dark at night, making it slightly difficult to navigate.

We absolutely loved our stay at this place! The location was perfect, situated on a very steep hill, which gave us a stunning view of the surrounding area. It was conveniently placed close to the centre, making it easy for us to explore the Cathedral and town centre. The room was beautifully furnished, with all the amenities we needed, including ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, and a mini-bar. The bed was unbelievably comfy, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. We were also impressed with the friendly and attentive staff, who provided excellent service throughout our stay. The hotel also offered free toiletries, a flat-screen TV, and Wi-Fi, making it a truly luxurious and comfortable experience.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the heart of this city. The location was perfect for our needs, as it was right in the center of Lincoln. We were able to easily walk to the Cathedral, Christmas market, and shopping area. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a lovely dining area for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was delicious and had a great variety of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Plus, we appreciated having parking available on-site.

Located on a steep street near the top of the hill, The Poplars offers a fantastic location for easy access to the nearby cathedral and castle. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated with modern bathrooms. The friendly staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, accommodating any needs and providing a sense of security with keypads on all doors. Additionally, the continental breakfast served in the breathtaking breakfast room overlooking the city is a great way to start the day.

One minor drawback is the lack of cooked breakfast options, which would have been a nice addition for those who prefer a heartier meal in the morning.
