Additionally, there were two nearby pubs, the Artichoke and the Telegraph, which served dinners when The Poplars was not, offering generous helpings of local food and a more enterprising menu, respectively.

The staff were really friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with cooked-to-order food. We also enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner served by very friendly staff. The hotel was in the centre of the village, next to a wall, which provided a nice view.
