I had a fantastic stay at Poppy House, a charming and centrally-located hotel. The warm welcome from Julie and her helpful dinner recommendations made me feel right at home. The spacious and stylish room was spotlessly clean, and the added touch of a fridge with fresh milk and bottled water was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices and excellent coffee. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Great value for money.

This was our second stay at The Poppy House and it won't be our last! We were warmly welcomed by Julie and shown to our cozy yet spacious room. The room had beautiful wooden beams and was decorated in reds and creams, with a lovely view of the street. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great, despite the town hall bell ringing. The bathroom was immaculate with a nice bath and shower. The breakfast, cooked by Julie's sister-in-law, was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The little touches, like fresh milk in the fridge and cotton buds in the bathroom, were greatly appreciated.

We had a fantastic stay in the centre of town. The hotel's location in this city was perfect, right in the centre of Bishop's Castle. The breakfast provided was great, high quality, and included in the price. The staff made us feel welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay.

We had an amazing Christmas stay at this charming hotel. the room was spacious, stylish, and spotlessly clean, with a fridge stocked with fresh milk and bottled water. the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices, good quality ingredients, and excellent coffee. the location was perfect, right in the center of town and on a beautiful walking trail. the warm welcome and helpful recommendations from the hosts made our stay even more enjoyable.

The lack of parking provided by the hotel. However, we easily found parking on the road in front of the hotel and had no major issues.

We had the most wonderful time during our romantic escape. the rooms were cosy and well-presented, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. the historic beams and crooked charm added a special touch to the atmosphere. the breakfast was excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. We also appreciated the convenient central location and the friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcomed.

Although we didn't mind parking away from the property, some guests might find it off-putting. the shower was a bit challenging for taller guests, as the low ceiling and beams made it difficult to stand comfortably.

It's perfect for walkers as it's located right on the Shropshire Way. The building is lovely and quirky, with a comfortable room.
