We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was excellent, with the beach just a short walk away and plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed. The hotel facilities were good, with reasonable Wi-Fi speed and a walk-in shower, which was useful for us. The peaceful and private setting, surrounded by trees, added to the lovely feel of the room. Free parking in front of the property was also a bonus.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Good location near the coast, eateries, and pubs. Quiet and clean cabin with everything needed. No disturbances during stay. Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing break. Excellent hosts.

The location was great, not too far from big cities or the water. The space was clean and relaxing, with helpful hosts and thoughtful touches. The room was stylish and well-equipped, and the nearby food options were fantastic. The Retreat gave us a true vacation feel in just a few days. Highly recommend driving to East Mersea Flats for beautiful beaches and walks.

We had a fantastic time at Retreat Villa on Mersea Island. The owner, Georgie, wasn't there but she sent us a detailed email with instructions and great recommendations for places to eat. The villa was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely selection of complimentary drinks. It was the perfect base for exploring the island, and we appreciated the added touch of having games to play. The Lady who we dealt with was excellent, providing us with even more suggestions and ensuring we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the clean and fresh environment, ample parking, and easy accessibility. The comfortable bed with fresh white linen and abundance of pillows and cushions was a delight. The tea tray with plentiful milk was appreciated, and the overall quiet and peaceful atmosphere ensured a pleasant stay.
