My recent stay at a country hotel was absolutely fabulous. The attention to detail in the rooms and communal areas was outstanding. The fixtures and fittings were of high quality, and the bed was incredibly comfy. I particularly enjoyed having tea and coffee facilities in the room, which is a nice extra touch. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend trying Doreen's Black pudding, it's unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The outside sitting area with beautiful flowers was a lovely spot to relax. The hotel owners, Malcolm and his partner, were exceptionally kind and welcoming, and the staff were gentle and attentive. The trendy grey and copper decor added a stylish touch to the hotel. I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The only drawback I noticed was that some of the rooms, particularly those facing south, tended to get quite hot during warm weather. As the windows could only be opened a few centimeters due to the blinds obstructing the window frame, the rooms became unbearably hot at times.

The hotel was in a great location for our Christmas weekend trip, making it easy to explore the local area. the room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with a lovely bath/shower and flat screen TV.

Sadly, the room we stayed in was quite warm and stuffy, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. While we understand this was likely due to the winter weather, it was a bit of a downside to our experience.

Our Christmas stay at this hotel was wonderful. the staff were friendly and welcoming, and they even allowed us to check-in early so we could get settled before the festivities began. the property was well-maintained and immaculately clean, and we felt right at home in our comfortable room. the location was perfect - conveniently located near key attractions and with a large, secure car park. the dinner we had at the hotel was absolutely delicious and the breakfast cooked to order was a delightful start to the day. we had a great experience and can't wait to return.

The bathroom extractor in our room had a long delay, which was a small inconvenience. the mattress on the single bed wasn't as comfortable as the double bed.

Staying at The Reubens was a stress-free experience for our family of five, including a baby. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel at ease right away. The modern, well-furnished rooms and restaurant were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting Aysgarth Falls, Forbidden Corner, and Light Water Valley. We highly recommend The Reubens and have already recommended it to our friends.
