The lodge at this hotel is situated in a separate building away from the main pub, providing a quiet location for a good night's sleep. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with a comfy king-size bed and ample parking available. The staff are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a great choice of meals and local beers, making it convenient to stay and dine in.

The Wi-Fi signal in some areas of the lodge could be stronger, making it a bit difficult to stay connected at times.

The breakfast choice and preparation were excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. the quantity was also very satisfying, ensuring you start your day with a full stomach. the staff were extremely friendly and humorous, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. They offer complimentary coffee for early check-ins, and the staff takes the time to chat with you, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

One small downside was the lack of attention to detail when it came to maintenance. the vegetation in front of the lodge doors needs to be cut back and the pathway should be kept clean, as it creates a poor first impression for guests.

We had an amazing stay at a cozy and comfortable lodge along the River Don. The facilities and amenities exceeded our expectations completely. The hash browns were to die for, and my 6'5 partner finally slept in a bed that fit him perfectly. The staff was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. The location was surprisingly quiet, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Plus, the delicious breakfast and meals at the pub were a great bonus. it was the cheapest and nicest place we've ever stayed at!

the rooms were spacious, well-equipped, clean, and tidy. the pub itself was featured in the latest CAMRA guide and offered a great selection of 3 cast beers on tap. the menu at the pub had plenty of delicious options, and I highly recommend trying the haddock - it was huge! the pub also had Wi-Fi available, although it was only accessible in the pub itself. the experience was enjoyable and the owner was friendly and welcoming.

We had a great stay at this cozy lodge. The room in the annexe was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food served at the tavern was excellent. The portions were generous, and we especially enjoyed the ploughman's. The location was also convenient for sightseeing and exploring the nearby reserves for birding. A truly delightful experience that we highly recommend.

There were a few aspects of the hotel that could be improved. the cleanliness of the shower door left much to be desired, as it was not properly maintained and could have been much cleaner.

Great food and friendly staff. the breakfast was delicious and kept us going for most of the day. the room was clean, very comfortable and even had a mini fridge which we found very useful.

Shower could be cleaner. the shower door and silicone in the shower cubicle were a bit mouldy, which was a bit off-putting.

The River Don Tavern And Lodge is a great find for a relaxing break. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with lovely large showers and excellent free wifi. The location in a pleasant village, just a short walk from the pub, makes it the perfect getaway. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that your stay is enjoyable. The breakfast is delicious, with plenty of options to choose from.

The comfy king size bed was a pleasant surprise, along with the great food served at the pub. the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We also enjoyed the quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Although advertised as having free Wi-Fi, it only worked in public areas which was a bit of a letdown. the property felt dated and certain areas could use a good dusting.

Clean, comfortable room with mini fridge. Delicious breakfast kept us going all day. Friendly and welcoming host. Nice village to walk around.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a small village. The separate lodge type building provided privacy and spacious rooms. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for sightseeing, with secure off-road parking available.
